Our client is seeking an IT Project Manager (Banking System / Delivery Lead) with strong proficiency in Japanese and a solid background in IT system development or implementation within the banking sector.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Project Manager (PMO) or Delivery Lead for banking system development or implementation projects.
- Oversee project progress, manage milestones, track issues and tasks, and prepare regular progress reports for client stakeholders.
- Manage project resources and control overall project cost.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, business units, and internal IT teams to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
- Lead project teams from initiation through to successful completion, ensuring deliverables are met within scope, time, and budget.
- Manage client expectations and maintain a professional and positive representation of the company.
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing or delivering IT-related projects.
- Proficiency in business-level Japanese (equivalent to JLPT N1 or native level) to effectively communicate with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in IT project management.
- Experience managing end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, issue and risk management, resource planning, and governance.
- Understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with banking system development or implementation processes.
- Knowledge of banking operations and banking system architecture.
- Ability to comprehend high-level banking business structures and system designs.
