IT Project Manager (Banking Payments)

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of payment projects from initiation to closure

• Manage project scope, timelines, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation

• Ensure alignment across application, platform, infrastructure, and release teams

• Coordinate project activities across developers, system analysts, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors

• Drive adherence to project governance, delivery methodology, and quality standards

• Monitor project progress and provide timely status updates to stakeholders and management

• Facilitate issue resolution, escalation management, and technical coordination across teams

• Maintain project documentation, issue logs, and reporting

• Ensure smooth implementation and transition to post-production support teams

• Manage cross-functional teams and offshore delivery partners to ensure delivery excellence

• Foster strong collaboration, accountability, and communication across project teams

• Ensure projects comply with IT governance, audit, security, and risk standards

• Participate in post-implementation review and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent

• Minimum 8 years of IT Project Management experience within banking or financial services

• Strong experience managing payment-related projects, especially in corporate banking and cross-border payments

• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project delivery methodologies

• Experience managing large-scale system implementation projects involving multiple stakeholders and vendors

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills

• Proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget

• Strong risk management and issue resolution skills

• Experience working with offshore teams will be an advantage

• PMP, Prince2, Scrum Master, or related certifications will be an advantage
