IT Project Manager (APAC - Data Center, Infrastructure)

My client is a global organisation with a strong presence across APAC. They are seeking a newly created role of a IT Project Manager (APAC). They operate mission-critical facilities that support cloud, enterprise, and digital services worldwide. This role offers the opportunity to influence and standardize operational practices across multiple data centers in the region, while collaborating closely with global and regional stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

• Manage and deliver operations projects across Asia Pacific data centers, ensuring completion on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Coordinate with Operations, IT, and external vendors to implement new processes, tools, and service improvements across regional sites.
• Lead the rollout of global initiatives locally, including enhancements to maintenance processes and operational platforms.
• Drive engagement with data center operations teams, securing buy-in and ensuring smooth adoption of new workflows.
• Prepare and maintain clear project documentation, progress updates, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Travel periodically to data center sites in APAC to meet teams and oversee implementation.

Job requirements

• At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably within data center operations or IT infrastructure environments.
• Strong background coordinating cross-functional teams and managing vendors or service providers.
• Familiarity with data center operations, maintenance processes, and IT/technical workflows.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project) and strong documentation discipline.
• Excellent communication skills polished, structured, and confident in engaging stakeholders across different levels and cultures.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL are an advantage.
