IT Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Infrastructure Engineer / Senior Engineer

Location: Central Region, Singapore
Role Type: Full-time, Project Implementation & Maintenance

Core Responsibilities

• End-to-End Implementation: Perform hardware and software installation for turnkey solutions, ensuring all project milestones and deliverables are met.

• Technical Documentation: Author and maintain critical documents, including Statement of Work (SOW), System Handover documents, inventory lists, and detailed Network Topologies/Diagrams.

• System Testing & Handover: Lead and participate in System Acceptance Tests (SAT) alongside external vendors and customers.

• Troubleshooting: Identify, debug, and resolve infrastructure and connectivity issues during project deployment.

• Coordination: Act as the technical point of contact for customers and external parties to resolve implementation bottlenecks.

• Fiber-Optic Management: Manage and configure fiber-optic transmission devices.

Technical Skills (Essential)

• Linux OS: CentOS, SUSE.

• Networking & Security: Dell, Cisco, and Fortinet Firewalls.

• Big Data Ecosystem: Hadoop (HDFS, ZooKeeper), Cloudera, Hue, Apache, and ElasticSearch.

• Connectivity: Expert knowledge of Fiber-Optic transmission devices.

• Advantage: Familiarity with Virtualization technologies (VMware/KVM).

Requirements

• Education: Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience Levels:

  • Engineer: 1- 2 years of experience in system implementation and maintenance.

  • Senior Engineer: 2+ years of experience in system implementation and maintenance.

• Soft Skills: Ability to work independently in the field and collaborate effectively within a team.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• On-time delivery of project milestones.

• Accuracy and clarity of network diagrams and technical SOWs.

• Successful completion of System Acceptance Tests (SAT) with minimal re-work.
