Role Overview
We are looking for an IT Pre-Sales Consultant with a strong technical foundation and business understanding to bridge client needs and solution design.
This role sits between Sales and Engineering, requiring both:
- Ability to understand technical systems
- Ability to communicate and position solutions to clients
You will play a key role in shaping solutions that convert into revenue.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Pre-Sales Support
- Understand client requirements (operations, systems, workflows)
- Design and propose solutions across:
- IT infrastructure (end-user computing, networks, systems)
- WMS / RFID / automation solutions (EdgeHive)
- Prepare solution architecture, bill of materials (BOM), and technical proposals
2. Client Engagement
- Participate in client meetings, discovery sessions, and presentations
- Translate technical solutions into clear business value
- Conduct product demos, solution walkthroughs, and POC discussions
3. Proposal & Tender Support
- Prepare:
- Technical proposals
- Solution write-ups
- Compliance documents (RFP / tender submissions)
- Work closely with vendors and internal teams for costing and specifications
4. Internal Collaboration
- Work with:
- Sales team align on client strategy
- Engineering team validate feasibility
- Operations ensure deliverability
5. Market & Solution Development
- Stay updated on:
- Technology trends (RFID, automation, WMS, IT infra)
- Competitor solutions
- Contribute to developing new solution packages and offerings
Requirements
Must Have
- Degree/Diploma in:
- Computer Engineering / IT / Information Systems
- Electrical / Electronics / Automation (for RFID/WMS exposure)
- 1-3 years experience in:
- Pre-sales / Solutions / IT consulting
- OR fresh graduate with strong technical exposure + internship experience
Technical Understanding
- Basic understanding of:
- IT infrastructure (PCs, servers, networks)
- System integration / APIs (basic level)
- Software solutions (WMS / ERP / SaaS exposure is a plus)
- Ability to read and understand technical requirements
Soft Skills (Very Important for You)
- Strong communication & presentation skills
- Able to translate technical business language
- Structured thinking and problem-solving
- Ownership mindset (not task-based execution)
Nice to Have
- Experience in:
- WMS / logistics systems
- RFID / automation / IoT
- Enterprise solution selling
