Platform & Architecture Lead - Network & IT/OT
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced technology leader to drive the architecture and modernisation of our network and IT/OT environment.
You will oversee physical networks, cloud connectivity and the secure integration of OT/IoT platforms across Engineering and Development operations. The role also covers broader platform architecture, including AWS and DevSecOps.
What You'll Do
- Define and govern the architecture and technology roadmap for enterprise networks and IT/OT platforms.
- Lead the design and modernisation of LAN, WAN, wireless, firewalls, data centre and cloud connectivity.
- Ensure network environments are secure, scalable, resilient and highly available.
- Establish network segmentation, security zoning and architectural guardrails between enterprise IT and OT environments.
- Lead the secure integration of OT/IoT platforms, industrial systems and connected devices with the wider IT ecosystem.
- Partner with OT/IoT engineers and project teams to onboard solutions onto standardised, secure platforms.
- Oversee supporting cloud, server and DevSecOps architecture to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Support technology planning, budgeting, risk management, vendor management and executive reporting.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in network, infrastructure, platform or enterprise architecture.
- Deep knowledge of network technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, LAN, WAN, wireless and network segmentation.
- Experience supporting OT/IoT environments, industrial networks or IT/OT integration.
- Knowledge of SCADA, PLCs, industrial protocols or cyber-physical systems would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, including cloud networking, security and hybrid connectivity.
- Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD, containers or Infrastructure as Code would be beneficial.
- Proven ability to lead technical change and work with senior stakeholders, engineers, project teams and vendors.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, TOGAF, CISSP, CISM, AWS or ITIL are preferred.
