Overview

We are seeking an IT Operations Specialist to support end-user computing, Windows environment management and day-to-day IT operations while working closely with our Japan headquarters team. This role requires strong technical capabilities, solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate effectively in Japanese. The position is hands-on and well-suited for individuals with a mature IT operations background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Japan headquarters point of contact to jointly resolve technical issues across desktops, applications and Windows environments
  • Provide comprehensive end-user support including device provisioning, desktop troubleshooting and user account administration
  • Manage daily operational requests such as access setup, incident handling and system checks
  • Support operating systems across Windows 10, Windows 11 and Windows Server
  • Administer Microsoft 365 including user and mailbox management and endpoint connectivity
  • Assist in managing VMware infrastructure including virtual machine operations and monitoring
  • Use PowerShell to support basic automation and operational tasks
  • Perform network troubleshooting for TCP/IP, DNS, VPN and firewall connectivity issues
  • Maintain documentation for operational workflows, procedures and support guidelines
  • Contribute to continuous service improvements and support team knowledge sharing

Required Skills and Experience

  • Ability to communicate in Japanese to liaise with Japan headquarters and Japan-based counterparts.
  • Strong hands-on experience in end-user computing, desktop troubleshooting and account administration
  • Solid understanding of Windows operating systems including Windows 10, Windows 11 and Windows Server
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
  • Familiarity with VMware operational tasks
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, firewall concepts and VPN
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to issue resolution
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across regional teams
  • Adaptable, proactive and keen to grow within a dynamic IT operations environment
