IT Operations & Automation Specialist Intern

We aren't looking for someone who just fixes computers. We are looking for a Digital Transformation & AI Specialist. In this role, you will bridge the gap between essential IT infrastructure and next-generation digital transformation. You will start by mastering the core operations that keep our team moving, and then you will use AI and automation to make those very processes obsolete.

We value potential over pedigree-we are looking for a curious, innovative and hands-on tinkerer who wants to grow and become the master with us.

Key Responsibilities

1. Modern Infrastructure & End-User Support

• The Front Line: Serve as the Tier 1 point of contact, diagnosing hardware, OS, and networking (VPN, Wi-Fi) issues.

• Asset Lifecycle: Manage the deployment and wiping of devices, maintaining a high-standard hardware inventory.

• User Management: Handle the Joiner-Mover-Leaver lifecycle by managing accounts in Google Workspace and other Cloud services.

• System Health: Conduct regular maintenance on onsite technology, including security cameras and clinic-specific tech.
  
  2. Agentic AI & Process Automation (The Stretch Projects)

• Workflow Mapping: Interview departments to document manual processes and visualize clean, repeatable digital flows.

• AI Agent Deployment: Build Agentic workflows using tools like LangChain, Zapier, or Make.com to automate tasks across apps.

• Self-Service IT: Integrate AI chatbots into our service desk to resolve common requests like password resets without human intervention.

• Workspace Design: Architect the Blueprints for our digital workspaces (Notion, Slack, G-Suite) to ensure data is organized.
  
  3. Cybersecurity & Governance

• Guides & SOPs: Create user-friendly technical guides and digitize critical policies like Incident Response and Data Backup.

• Security Monitoring: Review firewall logs and access reports to identify and escalate unusual activity.

• Awareness: Design creative infographics to teach staff how to spot phishing and follow best security practices.

Who You Are

The Tinkerer: You have a Poly/IT certificate with 0-2 years of experience (including internships, freelance, part-time jobs, etc.), but more importantly, you have a portfolio of personal projects or a home lab.

• Logic-Driven: You have a foundational grasp of Python or JavaScript and love the logic of Low-Code/No-Code tools.

• AI-Literate: You understand how LLMs work and are excited by the prospect of giving AI the ability to do things, not just say things.

• Growth Mindset: You are looking for a role where you can stretch your skills and take on responsibilities usually reserved for senior staff.

• Conscientious Communicator: You value expressing yourself concisely, know when to say and what to say. You listen intently and ask questions to validate your understanding.
