Key Responsibilities

1. Build the Change & Release Capability

  • Design and implement a practical and lightweight change management framework, including:

. Change classification

. Change approval workflows

. Change documentation standards

. Change tracking within the IT service management platform

2. Coordinate Technology Releases

  • Act as the central coordinator for technology deployments across:

. Core insurance applications

. Integration platforms

. Infrastructure environments

. Database releases

  • Responsibilities include:

. Maintaining the technology release calendar

. Coordinating deployment windows

. Ensuring release readiness

. Communicating upcoming changes to stakeholders

3. Improve Operational Stability

  • Reduce production incidents caused by uncontrolled changes by introducing:

. deployment readiness checks

. rollback planning

. post-implementation reviews

. release coordination across teams

4. Implement Practical Governance

  • Introduce lightweight governance mechanisms including:

. weekly change coordination meetings

. risk-based change approval

. structured emergency change procedures

5. Enable Audit and Compliance Readiness

  • Maintain a complete audit trail of technology changes and releases.
  • Ensure that change processes align with regulatory expectations typical of the insurance and financial services industry.

6. Tooling and Automation

  • Configure and manage the organization's IT service management tooling, including:

. change request workflows

. release tracking dashboards

. change reporting metrics

  • Support continuous improvement of release processes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in technology operations, application delivery, or IT service management
  • Experience implementing change and release management processes
  • Experience working in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services environments
  • Experience working with enterprise applications and infrastructure environments
  • Strong familiarity with:

. enterprise application environments

. database-driven applications (Oracle or similar)

. infrastructure platforms

. release coordination practices

. IT service management tools such as ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus

  • Strong operational mindset
  • Highly organized and structured
  • Ability to coordinate across technical teams
  • Pragmatic approach to governance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in lean teams
