Job Description

IT Onsite Support Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provides second-line investigation and diagnosis
  • Resolves and closes incidents/service requests as per help desk procedures & allocated timelines
  • Escalates unresolved incidents/service requests within agreed timescales
  • Logs relevant incident/service request details per help desk procedures
  • Communicates with client regarding incident progress
  • Troubleshoots and resolves PC incidents and/or VIP requests
  • Ensures tickets are updated at all times until issues are resolved
  • Liaises with clients, other IT support groups and 3rd party providers when necessary
  • Coordinates with vendors for hardware repair
  • Performs staging of PCs / Laptops
  • Performs IMAC (Install, Move, Add and Change)
  • Administrate mobile phone requests (Corporate Sim card)
  • Markets (Trading) support with their unique workstations setup and requirements
  • Support the night desk staff who work outside of the standard office hours
  • Prepare Video Conferences on request
  • Assists on special events coverage
  • Creates/maintains documentation

  • Ensure appropriate ethical and compliant behavior within the area of responsibility by clear demonstration of appropriate values and behaviors including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

Personal and Social

  • Strong oral and written communication skills especially for English
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and apply regulatory material and internal controls
  • Be willing to be on standby and be recalled for ad-hoc work activities on off day or during non-office hours in order to support IT related activities
  • Excellent customer interface skills, proactive, independent, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Good interpersonal communication skills

Professional and Technical

  • With 2 - 4 years of working experience with desktop/network equipment in IT environment, providing onsite support
  • Possess an ITE or Diploma in Computing/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field of study
  • Proficient in utilizing a variety of office software, specifically: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook
  • Ability to write technical support documentation a plus
