IT Officer

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated IT Officer to lead and manage the company's IT function, ensuring the reliability, security, and effective performance of our IT systems and infrastructure.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting daily business operations, managing IT vendors and resources, maintaining technology infrastructure, strengthening IT security and governance, and identifying solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate the IT function, providing technical assistance and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Manage IT vendors and procurement, including evaluating solutions, negotiating contracts, coordinating purchases, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT products and services.
• Oversee and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including system upgrades, maintenance, migrations, performance monitoring, and outage planning.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure IT security, compliance, and governance through policy implementation, security monitoring, risk management, audits, and industry best practices.
• Manage IT assets, budgets, software licensing, and technology resources, including renewals, inventory control, and resource allocation.
• Maintain IT policies, procedures, system and audit documentation, coordinate IT-related training and awareness programmes, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience and good working knowledge in IT operations, infrastructure, systems administration, hardware, software, networking, cloud services, and end-user support.
• Experience in administering and supporting Google Workspace, including user accounts, access controls, security settings, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Globe3 ERP or other ERP systems will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity, IT governance, data protection, and technology risk management.
• Experience in managing IT vendors, procurement, software licensing, and IT assets will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and improvement-oriented mindset.
