Responsibilities
1. IT Operations & Technical Support
- Lead and manage the IT support function, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
- Provide escalation support for complex hardware, software, email, and network problems.
- Ensure high availability of desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and other IT equipment.
- Develop and maintain IT support procedures and service standards.
2. Network & Systems Administration
- Manage and maintain the company's LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, VPN, Wi-Fi, and network devices.
- Monitor system performance and implement preventive maintenance.
- Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, including antivirus, firewall, endpoint protection, and access control.
3. Software & Hardware Management
- Plan, procure, install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
- Ensure software licensing compliance.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend system improvements.
- Manage IT asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal.
4. Vendor & Project Management
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Coordinate hardware procurement, maintenance contracts, and warranty claims.
- Oversee IT-related projects including system upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
- Coordinate proper disposal of obsolete equipment through approved e-waste vendors.
5. User Support & Training
- Develop user guides and IT policies.
- Conduct staff training on IT systems, cybersecurity awareness, and best practices.
- Improve user experience by implementing efficient IT support processes.
6. Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare IT budgets, reports, and performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain IT documentation and SOPs.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a construction or related industry.
- Basic knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN) and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hardware setup, software installation, and system maintenance.
- Familiarity with e-waste management practices is an advantage.
