Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide real-time support for IT-related issues, including network connectivity, email problems, and software malfunctions.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of PCs, printers, and other peripherals.
2. Software Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, update, and configure software applications as required by the company.
- Ensure all software licenses are up to date and compliant with company policies.
- Perform regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.
3. Network and System Administration:
- Monitor and maintain the company's local area network (LAN) and internet connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the implementation of IT security measures to protect company data and systems.
4. Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Liaise with IT suppliers and vendors for the procurement of hardware, software, and other IT-related services.
- Coordinate with e-waste management companies for the proper disposal of outdated or non-functional IT equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure accurate record-keeping.
5. User Training and Support:
- Provide basic training and guidance to staff on the use of IT systems and software.
- Create user manuals and documentation to assist employees in resolving common IT issues.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a construction or related industry.
- Basic knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN) and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hardware setup, software installation, and system maintenance.
- Familiarity with e-waste management practices is an advantage.
