IT Infrastructure Trainee Engineer

Role Summary

The IT Infrastructure Trainee Engineer supports the design, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of an organization's IT infrastructure. This includes servers, networks, cloud services, hardware, and security systems. The role is designed for entry-level talent with foundational technical knowledge and a strong willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Support

• Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, network devices, storage systems, and end-user hardware.

• Support daily IT operations such as troubleshooting system issues, performance monitoring, and routine maintenance.

• Participate in patch management and system updates.

Network & Systems Administration

• Help monitor network performance (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, switches).

• Support user account creation, access management, and system backups.

• Assist in managing virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).

IT Service Desk Support

• Respond to Level 1/Level 2 support tickets under supervision.

• Provide technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues.

• Document incidents, solutions, and procedures.

Project Participation

• Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure upgrade projects.

• Participate in deployment, testing, and rollout of new technologies.

• Prepare technical documentation and reports.
