Job Summary
Join as an IT Finance & Business Management Specialist on a 5-month contract to manage and optimise financial processes supporting regional technology operations across Asia, collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
IT Financial Management
- Develop and manage the regional technology budget aligned with business objectives in the Securities business.
- Track and analyse technology expenditure to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise resource allocation.
- Execute day-to-day Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activities for the IT department.
- Perform monthly accruals and reconciliations ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Prepare financial forecasts, trend analyses, and management reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Monitor actual technology spending against budgets and forecasts to ensure financial control.
- Collaborate with inter-entity teams to meet financial reporting requirements.
- Manage inter-entity Service Level Agreements (SLAs) related to technology service charges.
- Drive finance process improvements within IT to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.
Business Management & Project Governance
- Partner with cross-functional teams to prepare internal communications, presentations, and materials for senior management and committee meetings.
- Provide internal PMO support for project governance activities ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Track project, financial, and operational data to support stakeholder reporting.
- Support broader business management activities within the regional technology function.
IT Procurement & Vendor Management
- Maintain accurate vendor and contract databases.
- Review technology expenditure and vendor relationships to identify cost optimisation and value improvement opportunities.
- Support IT procurement and contract administration activities.
- Coordinate tracking of IT hardware and software assets.
- Monitor technology demand and supply to improve pricing, utilisation, and service outcomes.
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Experience in IT finance, technology business management, financial operations, or similar functions.
- Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, accruals, reconciliations, expense management, and management reporting.
- Hands-on experience supporting financial processes within a Technology or IT environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and identify trends.
- Excellent attention to detail in handling financial information.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across Technology, Finance, and business teams.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of day-to-day deliverables.
- Comfortable working within a regional and multi-entity environment.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in the banking, securities, or financial services industry.
- Good understanding of AR/AP processes and financial controls.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA.
- Immediate availability or ability to start at short notice.
- Commitment to the full 5-month contract period.
