Responsibilities
- Design, maintain and continuously improve assigned Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and components.
- Provide 24/7 Level 1 and Level 2 support to ensure the smooth operation of production lines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to minimise production downtime.
- Work closely with other IT teams to improve system response time and maximise system availability.
- Gather user requirements to design, develop and deploy enhancements for Shop Floor Automation applications, particularly Equipment Manager automation solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation and coordinate application enhancements within the assigned area.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct user training for assigned applications.
- Collaborate with other departments on productivity improvements, cost reduction, error reduction and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
- Diploma holders with relevant experience in shopfloor automation or Equipment Manager solutions are also welcome to apply.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience supporting factory automation systems within a semiconductor, manufacturing or other high-tech production environment.
- Proficient in SQL (Oracle preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with MES, Shop Floor Automation (SFA), Equipment Automation, SECS/GEM, TIBCO (TIB/RV), ZNT PAC development, fab automation projects, or Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) applications such as SPC, RMS and MES will be an advantage.
