The Senior ICT Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily operations, and maintaining high standards of information security across the organisation and its regional offices. This role combines hands-on technical support with strategic oversight of IT audits, compliance, and risk management.
Essential Job Functions:
The Senior ICT Engineer is responsible, but not limited to, the following:
- Provide timely IT support to all users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot computers, laptops, servers, printers, firewalls, and network systems.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems at the main office and project sites.
- Ensure data backups are performed accurately and securely.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Manage company communications systems, workstations, and servers.
- Plan and execute regular IT audits for company branches and group companies across the Asia Pacific region.
- Develop audit plans based on risk assessments and ensure alignment with group-wide objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001), regulatory requirements, and headquarters security policies.
- Collaborate with regional IT teams to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations for system and process improvements.
- Monitor adherence to internal policies, procedures, and ISO benchmarks.
- Identify potential vulnerabilities through risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT audit, compliance, or a related role, preferably in a group company or multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, ISO standards, industry standards, and group-wide compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with ISO 27000 is an advantage.
