Role Description

Lead the strategy, development, and management of IT documentation, technical content, and knowledge resources across the organization.
Oversee the creation of system guides, API documentation, process manuals, technical standards, and user-facing content.
Collaborate with IT teams, product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Establish documentation standards, style guides, and governance processes for consistency and quality.
Drive initiatives to improve accessibility, usability, and discoverability of technical content for internal and external users.
Manage teams of technical writers, content specialists, and knowledge managers, providing mentorship and guidance.
Implement tools, platforms, and workflows to optimize content creation, version control, and content management.
Monitor documentation KPIs, usage metrics, and feedback to continuously improve content effectiveness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in technical writing, IT documentation, or content management, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
Strong understanding of IT systems, software development, APIs, cloud technologies, and enterprise IT processes.
Experience with documentation tools and platforms (Confluence, MadCap Flare, Git, Markdown, SharePoint).
Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical, editorial, and communication abilities.
Experience establishing documentation governance, standards, and best practices.
Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and software lifecycle processes is advantageous.
