IT Director

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Governance

• Define and execute enterprise IT strategy aligned with business, product, and engineering goals.

• Establish PMO, portfolio governance, and execution frameworks to drive delivery predictability, transparency, and accountability.

• Implement OKR/QBR cadences, performance metrics, and executive reporting mechanisms.

Technology & Infrastructure Leadership

• Oversee mission-critical infrastructure including mainframe systems, enterprise storage, disaster recovery, and data centers.

• Ensure high availability, resilience, security, and regulatory compliance of enterprise IT platforms.

• Lead data center migrations, disaster recovery programs, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Program & Project Delivery

• Direct large-scale, multi-region technology programs and portfolios (100+ concurrent projects).

• Lead cross-functional delivery across product, engineering, testing, risk, security, and operations.

• Drive execution efficiency through process optimization, automation, and tooling (e.g., Jira, workflow automation).

IT Operations & Incident Management

• Establish incident, issue, and demand management processes to improve response times and service quality.

• Oversee vendor management, SLA performance, and escalation handling.

• Continuously improve operational efficiency and system stability.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

• Build, mentor, and manage high-performing IT, PMO, and engineering teams across regions.

• Lead managers and senior technologists, fostering strong execution culture and cross-team collaboration.

• Support hiring, onboarding, and capability development for technology teams.

Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

• Partner with senior business leaders to translate business requirements into scalable IT solutions.

• Act as a trusted technology advisor to executives, providing clear insights on risks, progress, and investment priorities.

• Coordinate with global stakeholders across Asia, Europe, and the US.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive IT experience, with 5-8+ years in senior leadership roles (IT Director, Head of IT, PMO Director).

• Strong background in enterprise infrastructure, mission-critical systems, and large-scale program delivery.

• Proven experience building and leading PMO and governance frameworks.

• Hands-on understanding of banking, financial services, or large enterprise IT environments.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in financial institutions or regulated environments.

• Strong knowledge of mainframe, storage, DR, and enterprise architecture.

• Expertise in process automation, tooling frameworks, and execution optimization.

• Experience managing regional or global IT teams.

• Strong vendor and budget management capability.
