Job Description

The IT Director will lead the Information Technology function across all markets and brands for the Group. This role is accountable for delivering a secure, scalable, data-driven, and AI-enabled technology ecosystem supporting business growth, digital transformation, retail operations, and enterprise modernization.

Job Responsibilities:

IT Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the Group's IT strategy, aligned with business growth, omnichannel retail expansion, and digital innovation objectives
  • Define the IT operating model, organizational structure, and skills roadmap across all technology domains
  • Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary teams with a focus on capability building, succession planning, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Drive change management, digital adoption, and user experience improvements across all business units

Enterprise Architecture & Systems Integration

  • Lead the Group's SAP S/4HANA migration and ensure successful integration with POS, CRM, ECommerce, warehouse, and supply chain systems
  • Oversee enterprise architecture design, ensuring system interoperability, efficiency, and scalability
  • Govern the end-to-end lifecycle of IT applications, including POS, MPOS, SAP, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, CRM, and marketplace integrations
  • Drive workflow automation within SAP and ensure business processes are optimized across markets

Data & AI Governance

  • Establish Group data governance, quality, and security standards, ensuring consistent, accurate, and reliable data for decision-making
  • Standardize dashboards across platforms, markets, dashboards, and reports
  • Lead Data Science, Data Engineering, BI, and Analytics teams to deliver:

o Advanced analytics (demand forecasting, distribution optimization, ROS tracking)

o Customer personalization models

o Business performance insights

  • Oversee AI governance, including responsible use of GenAI, prompt engineering guidelines, security protocols, and adoption of tools like Microsoft Copilot

Digital Platforms

  • Lead the development of the Group's ECommerce mobile apps, websites, and omnichannel initiatives
  • Ensure stable, high-performance ECommerce operations with strong reliability, monitoring, and incident recovery processes
  • Oversee CRM enhancements, customer data platforms (CDP), and customer communication channels (e.g., Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, IG Messaging)
  • Partner with Digital/Marketing teams to deliver personalization, loyalty engagement, and targeted marketing capabilities

Infrastructure & Compliance

  • Ensure high uptime across all mission-critical systems (POS, SAP, ECommerce)
  • Strengthen cybersecurity posture by embedding secure-by-design principles into development and infrastructure processes
  • Maintain key compliance certifications (e.g., Cyber Trust Mark or equivalent) and ensure zero major security breaches
  • Lead network, systems, and application resiliency programs, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Improve IT helpdesk productivity through AI-based support tools

Software Development & Engineering

  • Lead in-house development of MPOS, CRM enhancements, retail operational tools, and integration platforms
  • Promote open-source adoption, code quality standards, DevOps practices, and performance engineering
  • Ensure consistent development methodologies, documentations, and secure coding standards across teams

Project Management

  • Oversee strategic IT projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery within budget, timeline, and scope
  • Manage group-wide vendor relationships, contracts, and licensing, including Salesforce, SAP, Braze, Segment, cloud providers, and marketplace partners
  • Drive cost optimization across hardware, software, cloud usage, and professional services
  • Ensure IT investments generate measurable ROI and support prioritized business outcomes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 12+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Experience leading group or regional IT functions across multiple markets
  • Background in retail, omnichannel, eCommerce, or consumer-facing environments is an advantage
  • Strong communicator able to influence senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
