Responsibilities:
- Develop work plans and manage resources and schedules to meet project objectives.
- Facilitate smooth communication with relevant stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, issues, and changes.
- Ensure the project's deliverables and processes meet quality standards and implement necessary quality controls.
- Monitor project progress regularly, comparing actual achievements with budget and schedule, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Address and resolve project challenges, supporting decision-making processes and implementing solutions.
- Ensure deliverables are accepted and assist in preparing for their release.
Requirements:
- Minimum a degree in Business Administration.
- Over 8 years in project management and relevant technical roles.
- At least 5 years of experience in established consulting firm. Working experience in the banking industry/ banking project is a plus.
- Strong core skills in project management, continuous improvement, incident and vendor management, problem-solving, team collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
- Expertise in technical skills such as cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, IBM Cloud), databases (IBM Db2, Postgres, MS SQL Server), and programming languages (Java, Python, Shell scripts).
- Proficiency in observability tools (Motionboard, Tableau, QlikView), operating systems (Linux, Windows), and message layers (MQ, Kafka).
- Experience leading project teams to ensure system stability and implementing improvements.
- Experience facilitating system releases by acting as a liaison between head office in Japan and APAC branches to resolve existing issues.
- Good communication skills in both English and Japanese (in order to liaise with Japanese stakeholders and clients).
- Strong sense of ownership and leadership in resolving issues and communicating with multiple stakeholders.
- Highly proactive, with a strong curiosity to learn new knowledge and an interest in customer business needs.
