Job Description

Lico Resources is partnering with a market-leading enterprise defined by its expansive operational footprint across Finance, Logistics, and Shared Services. Driven by a sophisticated technology stack and a culture of rigorous governance, the organization is now appointing a proven IT Audit Leader to fortify its internal audit function and oversee complex group-level controls.

This role offers a technically sharp professional the chance to shape how the organisation identifies, evaluates, and responds to technology risk at both the operational and strategic level.

The Role

The Team Lead will take ownership of IT audit coverage across enterprise applications within the group, directing reviews that span the full range of application and general IT controls. Alongside this, the role serves as the technical domain anchor for the audit of third-party services, data management practices, cybersecurity posture, and business application landscapes - including transformation initiatives and advisory engagements.

Application & Cybersecurity Reviews

Day-to-day, the Team Lead will oversee assessments of how systems are configured, how access is governed, and whether controls over data inputs, outputs, and processing hold up to scrutiny. This includes evaluating identity and authorisation frameworks within enterprise finance platforms, examining interface and integration controls, and using data analytics to surface process inefficiencies or control weaknesses that conventional testing might miss. Reviews of IT operational controls - covering change management, monitoring, and systems availability - are also within scope.

Advisory & Transformation Assurance

The incumbent will play an active advisory role in system development and technology transformation projects, providing control and security input at key milestones from design through to post-implementation. This positions the Team Lead as a genuine partner to the business, not simply an assurance function reviewing work after the fact.

Leadership & Reporting

The Team Lead will present findings and recommendations directly to senior management and board-level audit committees, translating complex technical and cybersecurity observations into clear, boardroom-ready narratives. Internally, the role carries responsibility for managing and developing a team of IT auditors - setting standards, overseeing work quality, and building the team's capability across both technical and professional dimensions.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Computing, Accountancy, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of IT audit experience in an external or internal audit capacity, with exposure to enterprise application systems
  • Experience at a Big 4 firm or within the internal audit function of a sizeable organisation
  • Strong command of IT general controls, application controls, and cybersecurity risk concepts
  • Familiarity with SAP environments, including authorisation and financial process controls
  • Demonstrated ability to present findings at senior management or board-committee level
  • Prior experience managing or supervising an audit team

Advantageous

  • Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CIA, PMP, or Agile credentials
  • Hands-on exposure to technologies including SAP HANA, cloud platforms, SaaS, RPA tools, SQL, OBIEE, Linux, or Oracle
  • Background in IT security implementation - whether in-house, via a systems integrator, or in a consulting role

The Person

You carry your technical depth lightly - able to move between detailed control testing and executive-level communication without missing a beat. You are methodical in how you structure your thinking, decisive when it matters, and rigorous enough to hold the line on quality even when timelines are tight. As a leader, you invest genuinely in the people around you, sharing what you know and creating the conditions for others to grow. Stakeholders across the business trust you because you engage with their problems seriously and speak plainly about what the risks mean in practice.
