About the role

We are supporting a client to look for an experienced IT Associate Director, who will define and execute their primary healthcare technology strategy. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will be instrumental in bridging technology, product, and clinical outcomes.

This role requires a proven leader to own the complete product lifecycle of our core healthcare technology suite, ensure excellence in project delivery, manage the organization's IT infrastructure and security, and grow a high-performing technology team. The successful candidate must be data-driven, possess deep expertise in healthcare compliance (e.g., HIPAA, PDPA, HL7/FHIR), and be adept at strategic stakeholder and budget management.

Roles and responsibilities

1. Product & Technology Strategy Leadership

  • Own and drive the entire product lifecycle for all group-owned products (patient-facing, internal tools, and business intelligence), ensuring a measurable Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Define a data-driven approach to product development and project realization, directly linking technology efforts to tangible business outcomes.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the market, competitor landscape, and synergistic partnership opportunities.
  • Lead the development and adoption of the overall technology roadmap, providing strategic technology and product advice to portfolio companies.

2. IT Operations, Security & Compliance

  • Oversee all aspects of Information Technology (IT) operations, ensuring excellence in project delivery and support for business needs.
  • Establish and enforce a robust cybersecurity program, including the implementation of proactive risk mitigation and data protection measures.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement comprehensive IT policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Manage IT departmental capital and revenue budgets in close collaboration with the Finance Department.
  • Oversee supplier and contract management to ensure reliable and cost-effective technological support.
  • Develop and conduct essential IT training and development programs for all assets.

3. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Recruit, lead, and mentor the technology team to successfully deliver on the overall roadmap and product adoption goals.
  • Lead change management efforts for existing assets and technology assessments for potential acquisitions (IT readiness).
  • Serve as the primary technology liaison, effectively managing internal and external stakeholder relationships to align efforts with key business objectives.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in Healthcare Technology is essential.
  • Proven data-driven mindset with a strong passion for product success and adoption.
  • Experience working with and managing offshore teams.
  • Deep understanding of critical healthcare and data compliance frameworks, including:
  • Data Protection: GDPR, HIPAA, PDPA.
  • Data Standards: HL7, FHIR, OMOP.
  • Security/IT Compliance: ISO 27001.
  • Preferred: Graduate degree or experience in Medical Informatics.
  • Familiarity with ITSM and ITIL frameworks is a plus.
