You will lead user-centred design across the full product lifecycle-from generative research and concept validation through to delivery and post-launch iteration-while coaching client design teams to build lasting capability. This is a consultancy role: you champion users relentlessly, design at scale, and are as energised by enabling others as you are by crafting exceptional design.

- Plan and conduct generative and evaluative research (e.g., user interviews, usability testing, field studies) to uncover real user needs and pain points.
- Synthesize research insights into clear, actionable findings that shape product direction and validate or challenge assumptions.
- Lead design within cross-functional teams, from concept to high-fidelity execution, with a systems-thinking approach and scalability in mind.
- Create workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align stakeholders around a cohesive user experience.
- Facilitate co-creation workshops, including journey mapping, design studios, and design critiques with clients and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Present design work to senior leadership and facilitate alignment sessions that drive informed decision-making.
- Coach and mentor client designers through hands-on pairing, tailoring guidance to individual strengths, gaps, and learning styles.
- Foster a psychologically safe environment that encourages experimentation, constructive feedback, and continuous improvement in design craft.
Qualities We Value
- Experience: 8+ years across the full design lifecycle with a strong User-Centred Design mindset. Experience in user research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and post-launch iteration within a consultancy or client-facing environment.
- Coaching: Proven ability to develop and enable designers through pairing, workshops, or structured mentorship programs.
- Tools: Expert in Figma proficient in prototyping tools and collaborative platforms capable of building and maintaining scalable design systems.
- Methods: Strong foundation in Design Thinking, Jobs-To-Be-Done (JTBD), Service Design, and WCAG/inclusive design principles adopts an evidence-based approach balancing qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Mindset: Empathetic and user-focused intellectually humble and willing to pivot when research challenges assumptions thrives in ambiguity and dynamic consultancy environments.
