About the Role
Responsible for leading and governing the end to end lifecycle management of IT assets, ensuring assets are effectively planned, acquired, deployed, maintained, optimized, and retired in a compliant and cost effective manner. This includes accurate asset tracking, inventory control, software license management, and lifecycle monitoring to maximize value, reduce risk, and support business objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities
IT Asset Lifecycle Management
- Own and manage the full lifecycle of IT assets (hardware and software), including planning, procurement, deployment, usage, maintenance, optimization, refresh, and disposal
- Define and enforce lifecycle standards for end‑user devices, servers, network equipment, and software assets
- Monitor asset health, usage, warranty, support status, and refresh cycles to support proactive decision‑making
- Lead annual tech refresh programs, asset retirement, and secure hardware disposal in line with policy and regulatory requirements
IT Asset Management (ITAM / HAM / SAM)
- Act as an experienced practitioner across ITAM, HAM, and SAM, covering processes, tools, data, governance, and compliance
- Maintain a single, accurate IT asset repository/CMDB with strong data quality controls
- Perform hardware and software license compliance assessments, identifying risks, gaps, and optimization opportunities
- Manage compliance with software licensing agreements and support internal and external audits
- Oversee software license renewals, consumption tracking, and cost optimization initiatives
Process, Governance & Reporting
- Design and document ITAM policies, standards, procedures, and lifecycle workflows
- Define ITAM governance structures, KPIs, and dashboards to track asset lifecycle, compliance, and cost efficiency
- Prepare and maintain reports covering asset inventory, lifecycle status, license compliance, and financial exposure
Tools & Automation
- Work closely with platform and tools teams (e.g. ServiceNow) to configure and enhance ITAM/SAM/HAM processes, controls, and dashboards
- Drive automation opportunities for asset discovery, lifecycle tracking, reconciliation, and reporting using tools such as Power Automate, Automation Anywhere
- Ensure integration of ITAM tools with endpoint, identity, and infrastructure platforms
Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide trusted advisory to IT and business stakeholders on how IT asset lifecycle management can improve operational performance, reduce risk, and optimize costs
- Support ITSM processes by providing day‑to‑day ITAM‑related operational support and administrative activities
- Lead and coordinate asset inventory checks and support asset audits when required
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience as an ITAM/HAM/SAM practitioner
- Demonstrated experience managing IT asset lifecycle processes, including refresh and disposal programs
Technical & Tooling Skills
- Strong knowledge of ITAM/SAM tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, or equivalent platforms
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, SCCM, Intune, Azure, O365, GPO, macOS, Citrix, and networking fundamentals
- Sound operational experience with Microsoft 365 platforms, including SharePoint and Power Automate, and third‑party integrations
- Experience with automation tools (e.g. Automation Anywhere, Power Automate) is an advantage
