By combining strategic thinking with practical executioncapabilities, ISD delivers solutions tailored to client needs across multiplemarkets.

Job Description

As a Directorin the Singapore office, you will lead cross-border consulting and solution projects within the Interactive Solutions Division, with a strong focus onJapanese clients and regional growth initiatives. Within YCP SG's ISD business,Japanese clients have consistently accounted for more than 70% of revenue, andthe segment continues to present significant room for further growth. You willwork closely with senior client stakeholders to shape business and marketingstrategies, deliver high-quality market intelligence, and develop practicalrecommendations that support measurable commercial outcomes.

This rolerequires deep experience across both B2B and B2C marketing-related engagements,including strategy development, market research, competitor analysis, anddigital marketing. You will be expected to lead multi-country projects, managemultinational teams, and ensure the quality of problem-solving, analysis, andclient deliverables across markets.

You will alsoplay a key commercial leadership role by originating and expanding businessopportunities, especially with Japanese companies. As a senior representativeof the firm, you will build trusted client relationships, contribute toproposals and pitches, and help position YCP externally through thoughtleadership activities such as seminars, speaking engagements, and othermarket-facing initiatives.

The role coversprojects across Southeast Asia, Japan, and other international marketsincluding East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the US. Strong familiaritywith Southeast Asian business environments and cultural contexts will be highlyvaluable.

Key Responsibilities

. Lead cross-border projects inmarketing strategy, market research, competitor intelligence, and growthstrategy for both B2B and B2C clients.

. Manage client relationships andfacilitate senior-level discussions with executives and decision-makers.

. Structure project approaches,guide analyses, and ensure high-quality, client-ready outputs.

. Lead and mentor multiculturalteams across multiple countries and workstreams.

. Oversee research design,stakeholder interviews, market analysis, and strategic synthesis.

. Develop proposals and drivebusiness development with a strong focus on Japanese accounts.

. Contribute to external thought leadership activities, including seminars, industry events, and market-facingcontent.

. Support the continueddevelopment of ISD capabilities across strategy, marketing, digital, andcommercial excellence.

Requirements

. Bachelor's or Master's degreefrom a reputable university.

. Significant professionalexperience in consulting, corporate strategy, marketing strategy, or marketresearch, with substantial experience at senior project leadership level.

. Strong track record in both B2Band B2C engagements, especially in marketing strategy development, marketresearch, competitor analysis, and go-to-market / growth strategy.

. Proven experience leadingmulti-country projects and managing multinational teams across diverse culturaland business environments.

. Hands-on project experienceacross Japan and Southeast Asia additional exposure to East Asia, the MiddleEast, Europe, and/or the US would be highly valued.

. Strong business developmentcapability, with a demonstrated track record of developing and expanding clientrelationships, especially with Japanese companies.

. Excellent communication andstakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior executives andlead strategic discussions confidently.

. Native or near-native Japanesecommunication ability, together with strong business English proficiency, asthis role requires leading complex discussions, presentations, and writtendeliverables for Japanese-speaking client stakeholders, including stakeholderswith limited English proficiency.

. Deep familiarity with SoutheastAsian business culture and market context substantial living and/or workingexperience in Singapore and at least one other Southeast Asian market would bean advantage.

. Proficiency in one or moreSoutheast Asian local languages would be an advantage.

. Proven leadership capabilitywith strong ownership of project delivery, team development, and client impact.

. Experience in externalrepresentation, such as speaking at seminars, industry events, or publishingthought leadership content, would be an advantage.

. Prior industry experience inservices and/or consumer goods would be a plus.

. Strong analytical,problem-solving, and synthesis skills, combining quantitative and qualitativeperspectives.

. Ability to coach, mentor, anddevelop junior team members.

. Results-oriented, proactive,and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
