Job title: IoT Engineer
Reporting to: Principal Consultant
Salary: SGD 2,500 to SGD 4,000commensurate with experience and capabilities
Hours: 9.00am to 5.30pm Mondays to Fridays (occasional OT or weekend work expected)
Location: At customer site or Work from Home.
Assist consultant in energy/sustainability projects by:
1) Installing energy/water measurement instruments (IoTs) to measure energy/water performance.
2) Linking up energy/water measurement instruments (IoTs) to collect energy/water data.
3) Developing/modifying programs to link IoTs using Node-RED or equivalent software.
4) Setting up databases using PostgreSQL (or equivalent) to contain sustainability data.
5) Developing/modifying programs to compile, analyse and present sustainability data using Python/Java and Microsoft Power Platform.
Working knowledge of (or willingness to learn independently) and work with vendors on the following:
1) Basic IoT functions, interfaces (RS485) and protocol (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP)
2) Wireless transmission protocols (LoRaWAN) and transmitter/gateway setup
3) Application development platform/languages such as Python/Java, Microsoft Power Platform.
4) IoT decoding software (Node Red) and MQTT servers.
5) Linux (ability to setup on an industrial PC, install apps and database server)
Degree/Diploma not the most important here. But hands on experience and willingness to learn independently is most important.
Certificate or equivalent in Engineering (electrical/computer engineering preferred) or
Certificate or equivalent in Computer Engineering or equivalent (IoT focused preferred).
Preferably a minimum of 2 years of experience in installing configuring energy/water measurement instruments(meters/sensors) and/or configuring/programming these IoTs.
Work experience in factories preferred.
