Role Overview

Our client, a leading asset management firm is seeking for an Investment Performance Analyst at the VP level. They will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful investment performance and attribution analysis across a range of portfolios. The role supports portfolio managers, client-facing teams, and senior management, while contributing to reporting, system enhancements, and continuous process improvements within the investment operations framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and review portfolio performance, attribution, and risk analytics for internal and external reporting.
  • Respond to performance-related queries from portfolio managers, sales, client servicing, and senior stakeholders.
  • Prepare peer group and benchmark analysis using industry platforms such as Morningstar Direct.
  • Support client reporting requirements, marketing materials, and fund reviews.
  • Assist with fund lifecycle activities including onboarding, transitions, restructurings, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on system enhancements and data quality initiatives (e.g. FactSet).
  • Participate in project activities including requirements gathering, UAT, parallel runs, and production releases.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process efficiencies, and control enhancements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and manage delivery expectations.

Requirements

  • 610 years of experience in investment performance, analytics, or a related asset management role.
  • Strong understanding of performance calculation methodologies, attribution, and portfolio analytics.
  • Proficient in Excel and data tools (e.g. Power Query, Power BI, SQL); system experience with FactSet or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience with Morningstar Direct is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • CFA or CIPM qualification (or in progress) preferred.
  • Strong communication skills; fluency in English required, additional Asian languages are a plus.
