Investment Operations & Portfolio Manager

Job Summary

Reporting to the CIO / COO, this role integrates management expertise with investment operations oversight to support the firm's secondary market investment business. You will be responsible for operational governance, team coordination, process optimization, and cross-departmental management to ensure efficient, compliant, and scalable execution of investment activities.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operational workflows supporting secondary market investment strategies, including trade support, portfolio monitoring, data validation, and post-investment processing.

Lead, manage, and develop a small team of operations analysts, setting performance objectives, optimizing workflows, and ensuring high service standards.

Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for investment operations, risk control, and compliance monitoring in line with regulations and internal policies.

Collaborate with investment, research, compliance, and finance teams to align operational processes with portfolio strategies and business targets.

Monitor operational risks, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Prepare management reports, operational dashboards, and performance analysis for senior leadership.

Manage external vendors, counterparties, and platform service providers related to investment operations.

Support ad hoc projects including system upgrades, data pipeline optimization, and new strategy onboarding.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Management

Master's degree in Management / Business Administration / related management discipline

3-5 years of professional experience in operations management, project management, business administration, or financial services operations

Experience working in or supporting investment, asset management, or secondary market-related environments is highly preferred

Strong organizational, coordination, and team management capabilities

Excellent analytical thinking, process optimization, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in English strong written and communication skills

Detail-oriented, able to work independently in a regulated and fast-paced investment environment

Familiarity with investment workflows, compliance basics, or financial data systems is a strong plus

Additional Preferences

Experience managing teams or cross-functional projects

Knowledge of equity markets, portfolio management, or investment operations

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, project management tools)

Strong sense of responsibility, stability, and ability to handle confidential information
