Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Investment Manager with a strong background in private equity real estate. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as an investment professional, with exposure to UK real estate underwriting, financial modelling, and comprehensive due diligence. This role demands strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and a proactive approach to investment management.
Reporting Structure:
- You will report directly to the Senior Investment Manager and directly to the CEO, contributing to high-level strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Analysis & Underwriting:
- Conduct detailed underwriting and financial analysis for real estate investments, with a focus on PBSA and hospitality in UK
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Due Diligence & Risk Assessment:
- Perform thorough due diligence, including financial, legal, and operational assessments.
- Evaluate market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory frameworks impacting investments.
- Deal Structuring & Execution:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure deals and negotiate terms.
- Collaborate with external lawyers, accountants and development management partners for deal execution
- Oversee the execution of investment transactions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Portfolio Management & Performance Tracking:
- Monitor existing investments/assets to ensure seamless asset management and enhancement
- Prepare periodic performance reports and provide strategic recommendations for portfolio optimization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an investment professional in private equity real estate.
- Proven experience in UK real estate underwriting and financial modelling.
- Strong background in due diligence with the ability to assess investment risks comprehensively.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, including advanced Excel modelling, utilising AI platforms like ChatGPT, Cassidy and Claude AI
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies to stakeholders and present to investors
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. A CFA or similar professional qualification is a plus.
