Investment Manager

About the Role

Lead deal identification, financial evaluation, and strategic recommendation on acquisition and investment opportunities for the corporate portfolio.

Own full cycle on <3 deals annually from pipeline screening through investment committee presentation. Report to Head of Corporate Development; liaise directly with regional business units and HQ.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and screen M&A targets across APAC; build investment theses and preliminary financial cases
• Develop detailed acquisition models: valuation, synergy quantification, integration roadmaps, returns analysis (IRR, MOIC, payback)
• Lead buy-side due diligence across operational, financial, and market dimensions; coordinate with external advisors
• Prepare board/investment committee decks: financial summary, strategic rationale, risk assessment, deal structure recommendations
• Maintain ongoing market intelligence on sector trends, competitor moves, and deal pipeline; brief senior leadership on strategic implications
• Build and present post-close integration plans; track deal outcomes against original thesis

What We're Looking For

• 5-7 years in corporate development, strategy, investment banking, or private equity with demonstrated deal execution
• Advanced financial modeling: LBO, comparable company analysis, DCF, sensitivity tables; can defend assumptions under scrutiny
• Exceptional communication: can distill complex financial and operational data into board-ready narratives; comfortable presenting to C-suite
• Strong analytical rigor with commercial judgment—balances precision with pragmatism on deal timing and structure
• Comfortable in matrix org; manages relationships across business units, finance, and legal
• APAC exposure a plus; cross-border deal experience preferred

Must-Have

• Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, or Engineering
• Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg/FactSet equivalent preferred
• Fluent English; working proficiency in Mandarin or Japanese valued
