The Investment Intern will support the Investment team in evaluating real estate and hospitality-related investment opportunities, with a focus on student accommodation assets. The role offers hands-on exposure to property investment analysis, feasibility studies, and portfolio performance monitoring across domestic and international markets.
Assist in financial modeling and valuation of real estate, hospitality, and PBSA assets (e.g. DCF, IRR, yield analysis).
Support feasibility studies for new developments, acquisitions, and asset enhancement initiatives.
Conduct market and competitor research, including rental benchmarking, occupancy trends, and demand-supply analysis.
Assist in preparing investment memoranda, board papers, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
Support due diligence processes, including review of financial, commercial, and operational data.
Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, tracking key metrics such as NOI, occupancy rates, rental growth, and operating costs.
Assist with data collection for budgeting, forecasting, and sensitivity analysis.
Maintain organized documentation of investment analyses, assumptions, and approvals.
Provide general support on ad-hoc investment-related projects as required.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
Strong analytical and financial acumen with high attention to detail.
Basic understanding of real estate investment concepts, including cash flow, yields, and capital values.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint exposure to financial modeling is an advantage.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, disciplined, and eager to learn with a strong interest in real estate and hospitality investments.
Prior internship, coursework, or project experience in real estate, hospitality, asset management, or investment analysis.
Familiarity with student accommodation, hotels, or residential assets.
Knowledge of market data sources (e.g. property research reports, rental indices).
Practical exposure to real estate and PBSA investment analysis.
Hands-on experience in financial modeling, feasibility assessments, and portfolio monitoring.
Insight into hospitality and student accommodation operations from an investment perspective.
Mentorship from experienced investment professionals and exposure to real transactions.
