A leading institutional real estate investment platform is seeking a senior investment professional to drive acquisitions, strategic investments, and portfolio expansion across international markets. This is a high-impact role for an experienced dealmaker who enjoys leading transactions from origination through execution while working closely with senior management to shape investment strategy. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, evaluating complex transactions, and supporting capital allocation decisions across a diversified real estate portfolio.
As a senior member of the investment team, you will be responsible for sourcing opportunities, leading transaction execution, and contributing to the long-term growth of an established international real estate platform. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver acquisitions, strategic initiatives, and portfolio optimisation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Investments & Transaction Execution
- Lead the evaluation and execution of real estate acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and strategic investments
- Develop investment strategies aligned with the organisation's growth objectives
- Structure transactions and lead commercial negotiations through to completion
- Prepare and present investment recommendations to senior management and investment committees
Market Origination
- Build and maintain relationships with investment banks, property consultants, brokers, developers, institutional investors, and other market participants
- Identify new investment opportunities across both existing and emerging markets
- Maintain market intelligence on transaction activity, pricing trends, and competitive dynamics
- Develop proprietary investment pipelines through active business development
Due Diligence & Financial Analysis
- Oversee financial modelling, feasibility analysis, valuation reviews, and investment underwriting
- Lead multidisciplinary due diligence processes covering commercial, legal, technical, financial, tax, and regulatory workstreams
- Review transaction documentation and negotiate key commercial terms with counterparties
- Assess investment risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies
Portfolio & Capital Initiatives
- Support portfolio optimisation and capital recycling initiatives
- Participate in strategic projects involving financing, capital markets, and corporate transactions
- Work closely with asset management teams to evaluate post-acquisition performance and value creation opportunities
Leadership
- Mentor and develop junior investment professionals
- Foster collaboration across investment, asset management, finance, legal, and other business functions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of investment processes and decision-making frameworks
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
- MBA, CFA, or other relevant postgraduate qualifications will be viewed favourably
- Approximately 12–18 years of relevant experience in real estate investments, private equity, REITs, institutional fund management, investment banking, or corporate development
- Strong track record leading complex real estate transactions and investment execution
- Deep understanding of financial modelling, valuation methodologies, and deal structuring
- Excellent commercial judgement, analytical capability, and negotiation skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience engaging senior decision-makers
- Established industry network and the ability to originate investment opportunities
- Collaborative leadership style with experience mentoring investment professionals
