Investment Director - Buy Side - Shipping or Maritime Related Industry
Our client is a global PE fund and is looking to venture into the Shipping/Maritime industry.
This would mean you will set-up a new desk.
Responsibilities would include:
- Lead investment origination & deal sourcing
- Expand and develop relationships with with large shipping network, bankers and other advisors to generate strong deal flow
- Lead execution of investment opportunities, i.e financial analysis, modelling, deal negotiations, deal structuring and pricing, due diligence processes, and legal closings for investments
- Oversee portfolio performance and partner with management teams to enhance value and drive growth strategies
- Support fundraising by preparing presentations, updating investors on portfolio progress, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
- Monitor industry trends to formulate investment strategies and identify new opportunities
- Guide and mentor junior team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- At least 15-20 years of consistent experience in related fields with a proven track record preferably already in Private Equity, deal sourcing, good contacts and network to source for deals within the Maritime, Shipping Industry
- Passionate in investing and the financial markets, good commercial acumen
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a drive for continuous learning
