Job Description

About the Role

As an Associate, you will play an integral role across all stages of the investment process - from sourcing to execution and portfolio management. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support deal evaluation through leading detailed financial analysis, modelling and valuation
  • Perform in-depth research on sector trends, competitive landscape and strategic differentiation of target companies
  • Hands-on involvement in transaction execution (including driving due diligence workstreams, interacting with management teams, and attending site visits)
  • Active management and monitoring of the financial and operational performance of new and existing portfolio businesses alongside management
  • Prepare investment committee materials and recommendations

You are expected to work on multiple projects at a time as the lean set-up of the investment team and the deal flow require significant responsibility sharing. You will have the opportunity to leverage your entrepreneurial and commercial skills and work with management teams to outline value creation plans and eventually drive successful execution of the plans.

You will work out of the Singapore office in close collaboration with colleagues globally and report to the Head of Planetary Health Asia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with exposure to finance, accounting, and/or economics
  • 2+ years experience as a full-time Analyst or similar role from a top-tier investment bank, private equity firm or corporate development/M&A function
  • High level of competence with respect to financial valuation and modelling as well as commercial due diligence
  • Familiarity or experience with due diligence processes on investment projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in deal teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to think and work independently
  • Fluency in English

Finally, we envision you as a curious, analytical thinker with a genuine drive to create positive impact for society.
