Investment Analyst (web3/Blockchain VC)

My client is a top performing, global venture capital firm investing at the earliest stages in crypto, blockchain, and web3. They invest in founders using blockchain technology to rebuild the infrastructure of traditional finance and markets - from tokenization and market infrastructure to next-generation trading, payments, and lending rails.

They're building out their Asia Pacific investment team and looking for someone to join at the ground floor - working alongside the Investment Partner in Singapore and the global research function. They're seeking junior talent with a real passion and interest in crypto who can be trained up quickly into a fully fledged investor role.

Responsibilities:

• Source and help evaluate new investment opportunities across Asia
• Research industry trends and translate them into investment theses; support technical and commercial due diligence on prospective deals
• Help portfolio companies with post-investment business-building
• Monitor on-chain activity and market developments.

What my client needs:

• Genuine, demonstrable involvement in crypto - personal trading, on-chain activity, community involvement, or technical projects - you should be able to speak fluently about what's topical and which projects excite you, not recite talking points.
• Roughly 2-3 years of experience in venture, consulting, fintech, or a crypto-native operating role (exchanges, protocols, trading desks all count).
• A commercial lens - comfortable asking the kind of questions that reveal whether a business actually works, not just how the tech works.
• Nice to have: Mandarin fluency, a technical/engineering degree, or hands-on experience with on-chain analytics or tokenomics.
