Job Summary
The Investment Analyst delivers timely portfolio performance analysis, manages client relationships, and supports investment strategy formation to drive client retention and portfolio growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of investment strategies for potential and existing clients to align with their financial goals
- Manage client relationships proactively by updating clients on portfolio performance and market trends using Salesforce and client matrix tools
- Draft investment collaterals including weekly market updates, monthly macroeconomic EDMs, and investment recommendation templates to support client communication
- Oversee end-to-end trading processes, including trade submission and verification, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage money market holdings and implement drip feeding strategies for in-house and third-party investment products
- Deliver accurate and timely portfolio performance analysis reports to inform investment decisions
- Provide concise macroeconomic updates to Partners during Monthly Strategy Meetings (MSMs)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of in-house and third-party investment funds and portfolio models to support recommendations
- Perform yield calculations to evaluate the suitability of continuing or replacing existing investment solutions
- Drive retention of Funds Under Management (FUM) and Assets Under Management (AUM) through effective portfolio and client management
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree preferably specializing in Investment Finance with at least 3 years of relevant experience in financial services, banking, wealth management, or investments
- Strong communication skills demonstrated by fostering relationships with clients and internal stakeholders and influencing investment strategy decisions
- Confidence and proficiency in client-facing activities such as portfolio review meetings and investment recommendations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret portfolio performance data and derive actionable insights
- Proficient in portfolio performance analysis and valuation techniques, applying best practices and methodologies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Adaptability to change by embracing new challenges, adjusting communication style to suit audiences, and managing ambiguity effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), FE Analytics, and FE Cashcalc for data analysis and client communication
- CFA or relevant qualifications (CMFAS M5, M9, M9A, M8, M8A, HI) considered an added advantage
