About the career opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and analytically minded Investment Analyst to join our growing investment team. The role involves working closely with Portfolio Managers on equity and derivatives strategies, contributing to research, trade structuring, and portfolio construction in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct bottom-up research on listed companies across sectors and regions to identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Analyse financials, business models, and sector trends to assess valuation, catalysts, and risks.
- Build and maintain valuation models, incorporating derivatives such as options, swaps, or structured instruments to optimise returns.
- Generate and present actionable investment ideas, supported by solid analysis.
- Structure and monitor positions using listed or OTC derivatives for hedging, directional, or yield-enhancement purposes.
- Track portfolio exposures, volatility, and market developments to manage risk effectively.
- Ensure investment recommendations align with the firm's strategy and risk framework.
- Collaborate with the investment team to refine processes and enhance research quality.
About you
- Degree from a leading university with strong academic results
- 23 years of experience in buy-side or sell-side equity research, derivatives trading or structuring, or portfolio management.
- Solid understanding of fundamental research, valuation techniques, and derivative instruments.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, BQuant, Excel, and financial modelling; programming skills (Python, VBA, etc.) are a plus.
- Detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and passionate about financial markets.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
