We are partnering with a leading Asia-focused investment platform to appoint an Investment Analyst to join its Public Markets investment team based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth fundamental research and financial analysis on listed companies across Greater China (China and Hong Kong) and broader Asian markets.
- Build and maintain robust financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment theses to support investment recommendations.
- Monitor portfolio holdings, market developments, macroeconomic trends, and industry dynamics to identify attractive investment opportunities and potential risks.
- Perform comprehensive due diligence through company analysis, earnings reviews, industry research, channel checks, and management interactions where appropriate.
- Prepare high-quality investment memoranda and present research findings and recommendations to the investment team.
- Collaborate closely with senior investment professionals on idea generation, portfolio construction, investment monitoring, and execution.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in public equities, equity research, investment banking, asset management, or hedge funds.
- Demonstrated experience covering China and/or Hong Kong listed equities is highly preferred.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, accounting, and analytical capabilities.
- Solid understanding of public markets, with a genuine interest in long-term fundamental investing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate investment ideas clearly and concisely.
- Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and passionate about investing.
Preferred Background
- Sector coverage in one or more of the following: Technology, Internet, AI, Consumer, Healthcare, Industrials, or related growth sectors.
- Experience conducting bottom-up fundamental research with a proven ability to develop independent investment ideas.
- CFA qualification or progress towards the CFA Program is advantageous but not essential.
