Role Overview
The Intern role is designed as ahigh-impact, cross-functional position intended to groom future leaders of the organization. The responsibilities will involve areas including (but not limited to) origination, portfolio monitoring, operations, and product development. Based on performance and mutual agreement the role offers a pathway to a full-time position by the end of the internship.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Investment Analysis & Deal Structuring
. Perform comprehensive creditworthiness assessments of fintech borrowers and tech-enabled SMEs across Southeast Asia by building financial models and conducting credit analysis.
. Identify credit risks, evaluate collateral valuations, and assess borrower repayment capacity using quantitative and qualitative analysis frameworks.
. Prepare comprehensive investment memos and analytical reports for internal stakeholders.
2. Market Research & Strategic Planning
. Track emerging trends and developments in private credit, alternative lending, and digital financing models across SEA markets
. Analyze competitive positioning and benchmark investment opportunities across key regions (Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines)
3. Portfolio Monitoring & Operations
. Support key initiatives across fundraising, investor relations, and regulatory compliance by preparing and maintaining fund-related material.
. Prepare monthly risk reviews of existing portfolio companies, liaising with management teams to collect, validate, and analyse financial and Accounts Receivable data.
. Transform and standardise company-specific accounts receivable data using Python to support risk analysis and reporting.
. Assist with ad hoc business development, operational and administrative tasks as required.
Job Requirements
. Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not mandatory)
. Prior internship experience or 0-2 years of work experience in private credit, investment banking, credit analysis, lending, or related financial services
. Strong ability to communicate effectively with senior management, business partners, and cross-functional teams
. Demonstrated integrity, analytical rigor, and sound business judgment with the ability to balance growth opportunities against prudent risk management
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
. Advanced proficiency Microsoft Excel (financial modeling), PowerPoint and Word.
. Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation would be advantageous.
. Full-time availability commencing August 2026
