Investment Analyst, Asian Equities (Long-Only)

We are partnering with a well-established long-only investment manager seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Asian Equities team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced portfolio managers in identifying high-quality businesses across Asia through fundamental, bottom-up research.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing investment ideas, conducting deep company research and contributing directly to portfolio construction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research on listed companies across Asia (ex-Japan or Asia Pacific depending on portfolio mandate).
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks.
• Generate differentiated investment ideas through bottom-up research.
• Meet company management teams, industry experts and sell-side analysts.
• Monitor portfolio holdings and identify risks, catalysts and changes to investment thesis.
• Present investment recommendations to Portfolio Managers and the Investment Committee.
• Produce clear, well-supported investment memoranda.
• Stay current on macroeconomic developments and industry trends relevant to portfolio holdings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in buy-side equity research, sell-side equity research or investment banking.
• Strong financial modelling, accounting and valuation skills.
• Demonstrated passion for public equities and fundamental investing.
• Ability to analyse complex businesses and develop independent investment views.
• Excellent analytical, written and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience covering Asian equities is preferred.
• Progress towards or completion of the CFA qualification is an advantage.
