What will you do As a manufacturing intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to implement and optimize manufacturing and cleaning processes in the plant, improving product yield and reducing waste in the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). You will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of manufacturing technologies (such as traditional batch processes as well as the latest best-in-class continuous manufacturing technology) and gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving. What will you learn Implementing and optimizing the production and changeover operations for APIs Assist Engineers in day-to-day production activities via troubleshooting and problem-solving (e.g. Investigation of process anomalies with the use of technologies such as Aspen Process Explorer to analyse process trends and on-site survey) Close collaboration with the manufacturing technicians and other departments including MSAT, Technical Operations or Quality team Learning Good Manufacturing Practices and adopting Good Documentation Practices with Data Integrity Leading improvement initiatives with the usage of digital, data and analytics tools with the use of PowerBI and other applications (e.g. Process/Alarms Dashboards) Developing solutions to achieve GSK Site sustainability goals (e.g. Optimizing or finding alternatives to reduce energy or material waste) What are we looking for Strong communication, leadership and influencing skills Good planning and organizational skills Independent workers who are responsive and resourceful Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge in Power BI and Data Analytics is a plus A passion and desire to learn new things What do we offer you Understand and experience the GSK Culture Understand the critical factors for career development Learn best practice from GSK Workplace Team and its impact to support the core business of GSK Work with a diversified team of professionals Apply and develop soft skills such as interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills.
