New Forests Asia is seeking a motivated and analytical individual for a newly created 4-month combined Investments & Asset Management Internship, based in Singapore. This role is designed to provide holistic exposure across the full investment lifecycle - from origination and deployment, through active asset management, to value realisation over the fund life. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience and broad exposure across natural capital assets, including forestry, agriculture, carbon, and related infrastructure.
The intern will work closely with both the Investments and Asset Management teams, supporting origination and pipeline management, live transactions, portfolio analysis, and operational performance monitoring across natural capital assets in the Asia region. This opportunity is ideal for a final-year student or recent graduate with a strong interest in natural capital and impact investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Investments team across investment origination, evaluation, and transaction execution activities, including forestry, agriculture, carbon, and related processing or infrastructure assets.
- Assist with delegated tasks on live transactions, including financial analysis, due diligence support, and preparation of investment materials.
- Contribute to investment research projects and market analysis that support capital deployment and client mandates.
- Support maintenance of investment pipelines, transaction trackers, and internal databases.
- Assist in preparing internal and external reports, presentations, and dashboards relating to investment activity.
Asset Management
- Assist in monitoring and analysing the operational and financial performance of portfolio assets across the Asia region.
- Support the development and maintenance of financial, operational, and forestry or asset-level models.
- Help collect, clean, and analyse data from asset managers, operators, and internal systems to generate actionable insights.
- Contribute to sustainability and ESG-related analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring across assets.
- Assist in the preparation of asset-level reports, dashboards, and materials for internal stakeholders and investors.
The successful candidate is expected to work collaboratively across Investments, Asset Management, and other internal teams such as Sustainability and Impact, Governance, Investment Analytics, and Investor Services, and contribute to cross-functional projects as required.

- Strong interest in real assets, natural capital, sustainability, and impact investing.
- Experience or interest in forestry, agriculture, carbon markets, or sustainable land use is desirable but not required.
