We are looking for interested interns to join our growing team in the Commercial division.
Role Overview: The role will support the set up of the Commercial upstream team in market fundamentals, analytics capabilities, and system support for ETRM set up. This internship experience will enable the intern to gain good understanding of LNG fundamentals, and insights into LNG trading & origination.
Role Responsibilities:
Fundamentals Monitoring
- Perform fundamental and pricing analysis of the LNG market in support of the upstream Commercial team. To collect and analyse market demand and supply data, cargo flows and pricing information to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks
- Create global LNG supply & demand model to forecast global market balance. Analyse the impact on LNG flows including gas spreads, including to come up with a view of the market prices
- Monitor market and pricing data, providing relevant insights to the Origination and Trading team
- Publish Biweekly Fundamentals Report
Set up analytics capabilities for the upstream Commercial team
- Creation of dashboards to track forward curves and daily changes in forward curves for key trading indices such as Brent, HH, JKM and TTF etc.
- Creation of dashboards to track LNG fundamental data such as cargo flows, weather and gas storages
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using databricks or other cloud services
ETRM system
- Coordinate ETRM scoping requirements and implementation for the upstream Commercial team
Divisional support
- Data generation and submission for management reporting on performance, and portfolio composition
- Any other ad-hoc projects, as well as any other projects related to the upstream Commercial business, including contract management and cargo operations, will be assigned from time to time
Role Requirements:
- Engineering, Business, Economics or related undergrad course
- Numerate with analytical and diligent approach with good attention to detail
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI or Python)
- Full time 5 days commitment preferred
- Internship period January to June 2026
