Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal to lead the academic, operational, and strategic direction of the school. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to drive school improvement, ensure academic excellence, and maintain compliance with international standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the overall vision, culture, and academic direction of the school
- Develop and implement school improvement and development plans
- Support sustainable growth and high-quality educational outcomes
Academic Leadership
- Oversee curriculum implementation (Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE & A-Levels)
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
- Monitor student progress and academic performance
Staff Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and appraise teaching and leadership staff
- Build a strong professional development culture within the school
- Recruit and retain high-quality educators
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily school operations in collaboration with senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with CPE regulations and EduTrust requirements
- Manage safeguarding policies and ensure full implementation across the school
Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with parents, staff, and external partners
- Lead school communications and community engagement initiatives
- Represent the school in official and external functions
Events & School Life
- Oversee major school events, ceremonies, and key academic milestones
- Support enrichment programmes, excursions, and international activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education (Master's degree preferred)
- Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in education, including at least 5 years in senior leadership (Principal / Vice Principal / Head of School level)
- Strong knowledge of:Cambridge International Curriculum (Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE)
- Proven experience in international school leadership
- Familiarity with CPE and EduTrust requirements (preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to lead school growth and drive academic excellence
