This position is part of the SGX Singapore & Rest of Asia (SGROA) Relationship Management team, who is responsible for managing the existing clients to drive SGX's multi-asset class business strategy and executing the overall client engagement strategy of SGX products and services in Singapore and Asian/Taiwanese markets.
Specifically, the candidate's primary purpose is to promote secondary market activity in derivatives and securities markets (cross-sell and up-sell) by way of direct institutional client engagements. Working as a team, the candidate will help to identify appropriate client strategies and execute thematic campaigns, including identifying and securing relevant buy-side clients, market-makers and active traders.
Deliverables
- Express and apply a strong knowledge of SGX products (Derivatives and Securities), processes and rules.
- Meet institutional, commodities clients and/or membership cross-sell and up-sell targets.
- Maintain and build relationships with target institutional clients and members in Singapore, Taiwan and any assigned countries.
- Identify and execute marketing and educational initiatives to educate and attract clients to participate in the SGX derivatives and securities product sets.
- Work with Product Managers to generate regular educational and marketing messages to promote the SGX product set (Derivatives & Securities) and communicate such messages to institutional clients in the stated region.
- Recommend client incentive schemes to incentivize trading while maximizing revenue and creating ideal market structure with price differentiation.
- Represent SGX professionally in industry events, including identifying suitable events and forums to do so, for client engagement and mindshare.
- Make use of internal sales tools and processes to ensure alignment of corporate sales objectives and assist in maintenance and development of client depositories.
- Conduct sales and marketing activities independently, in accordance with internal policies, rules and regulations.
- Develop client review and sales plans for each client.
Requirements
- Graduate Degree or equivalent industry qualification with a minimum of 5 years of front office work experience in the financial industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, best practices, developments, client trends, product developments, and an extensive network of industry connections.
- Strong knowledge of equity, equity index and/or foreign exchange markets, including the different trading instruments especially in public markets.
- Past work experience with Singapore and Chinese/Taiwanese institutional clients, asset managers and hedge funds will be an advantage.
- Must have demonstrated consistent success in productive outcomes-based client engagement and/or revenue enhancement in previous role.
- Possess high energy, strong presence, excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, comfortable with multi-tasking and working under time pressure
- Must possess strong proficiency in English including proficient Business Mandarin to support/service clients in Taiwan.
