About the Client:
Our client, a reputable MNC in the manufacturing sector, is looking to hire a high-caliber Internal Control & Risk Specialist to join their Group Risk function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Risk Identification & Control Design: Evaluate key operational workflows to identify risk points; design and implement effective controls tailored to business realities.
- Process Improvement & Control Integration: Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, finance, supply chain) to streamline processes while embedding risk-mitigating controls without hampering business agility.
- Control Testing & Monitoring: Conduct periodic control reviews and walkthroughs across high-risk processes (e.g., order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, trade operations, inventory, etc.); monitor effectiveness and follow up on remediation plans.
- Policies & SOP Development: Develop, review, and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect control requirements and operational best practices.
- Issue Remediation & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate process failures or control breaches; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to process owners, supporting them in embedding a strong risk and control mindset in daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification holder.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in internal audit, internal control, or risk management within Big 4, advisory firms, or multinational companies. Prior experience in the manufacturing sector is essential.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Commercially astute and able to think creatively to solve problems and drive improvements.
