Job Summary
We are hiring an Internal Auditor to support internal and financial statement audits for a rubber manufacturing operation. This role involves hands-on exposure to factory operations, inventory controls, production processes, and audit support, collaborating with finance, production, and external auditors.
Responsibilities
- Plan and perform internal audits of factory operations, production processes, inventory controls, and operational procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and adherence to company policies
- Conduct walkthroughs, testing, and reviews of operational and financial processes to identify risks and control gaps
- Identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and potential risk areas, and recommend practical improvements to enhance operational effectiveness
- Review inventory management, material usage, wastage, and fixed assets within the factory environment for accuracy and control
- Assist in auditing basic accounting records, including expenses, costing, and reconciliations, to support financial accuracy
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports detailing findings and actionable recommendations for management
- Follow up on audit action plans to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement
- Support ad-hoc audits, investigations, and management reviews as required to address emerging risks or concerns
- Liaise with factory personnel and department heads to obtain audit information and clarify issues, facilitating effective communication
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience auditing factory operations, manufacturing, or production environments
- Basic accounting knowledge such as general ledger, costing, and inventory valuation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic office applications
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit assignments efficiently
- Strong communication and report-writing skills to convey audit findings clearly
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to assess audit data and processes
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in factory environments during field audits
