Your new role
As an Internal Audit Manager, you will lead risk-based audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas. Your responsibilities include planning and executing audit engagements, assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. You will identify key risks, highlight exposures, and provide practical recommendations to strengthen processes and mitigate business risks. In addition, you may be involved in special reviews and investigations, offering valuable insights to management and supporting strategic decision-making.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you should hold a degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, with professional certifications such as CIA considered advantageous. You will bring prior experience in risk-based audits, or through Big 4 audit practices. A strong understanding of internal controls, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and auditing standards is essential, along with knowledge of industry regulations. Success requires sharp analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Strong communication, report-writing, and interpersonal skills are vital, and you should be comfortable working in diverse environments. Flexibility for some overseas travel is also expected.
