Your Role
The Internal Audit Manager – Finance & Payroll will be responsible for assessing and improving internal controls, financial processes, and payroll operations. This role will conduct audits, identify process risks, recommend improvements, and partner with Finance and HR teams to strengthen compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on audit professional with strong experience in Finance operations, payroll controls, and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Internal Audit & Controls
- Develop and execute audit reviews covering Finance and Payroll processes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Identify risks, control gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare audit reports summarizing findings, impact, and recommendations.
- Track and validate completion of corrective actions.
Finance Process Audit
Conduct Reviews Covering
- Accounts payable and vendor management
- Expense management and reimbursements
- Financial transactions and approvals
- Account reconciliations
- General ledger activities
- Financial reporting processes
- Compliance with company policies
Payroll Audit
Review And Validate
- Payroll processing accuracy
- Employee master data changes
- Timekeeping and attendance records
- Overtime, incentives, and deductions
- Payroll approvals and reconciliation
- Statutory compliance requirements
Risk Management & Process Improvement
- Partner with Finance, Payroll, HR, and Operations teams to strengthen processes.
- Recommend practical solutions to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
- Support implementation of improved controls and procedures.
Stakeholder Management
- Present audit findings and recommendations to management.
- Provide insights on operational and financial risks.
- Support internal compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is an advantage.
- 5–8 years of experience in:
- Internal Audit
- Finance Audit
- Risk & Controls
- External Audit
- Experience auditing Finance and Payroll processes.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
